The Hill of Tara { http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hill_of_Tara } in Ireland is being dug up and destroyed every day by a Government who seems to care more about a new motorway, the M3 { http://www.m3motorway.ie/ } then preserving a site which was once where in Celtic and Pre-Celtic times the High Kings of Ireland used have their castles . It is a beautiful place full of history and ancient spirit. It was where The Fianna fought their last battle and where Nuada the high King of The Tuatha De Danann { http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuatha_D%C3%A9_Danann } had his castle.

This really is very important. There are only 15 days left to register your objection to the 'Pay as you go' road tax - which closes to petitions on the 20th February 2007. The petition is on the 10 Downing St website but they didn't tell anybody about it. Therefore at this time only 671,354 people have signed it so far and 750,000 signatures are required to stop them introducing it. Once you've given your details (you don't have to give your full address, just house number and postcode will do), they will send you an email with a link in it. Once you click on that link, you'll have signed the petition. Submitted by lugh23 on Wed, 2007-01-03 02:23.
:: INTRODUCTION From 4th to 7th of June 2007 the G8-Summit in Heiligendamm, in the proximity of Rostock, in Germany takes place. Also the mobilization of the Leftwing against the G8-Summit already runs on full speed. Different alliances are founded, several nationwide meetings did take place, also with international participation and an approximate plan of action for the protests is already fixed. Already now there are numerous actions, which mobilize to the events of protest against the G8-summit. Because of the 100.000 expected demonstrators at the Main Manifestation in the Rostock City at 2nd of June 2007 the policeforces are preparing since some time their operation and security plan for the whole region and for Rostock. Here comes an overview over the conditions of the mobilization. Submitted by m_technoChris on Fri, 2006-12-22 16:32.
The UK Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 has a section placing severe restrictions on demonstrations near Parliament. The act is one of six selected by a BBC poll for the Today programme's Christmas Repeal. The winner will be put before parliament as a candidate for repeal.

THE CAMP IS INFILTRATED BY THE MAIL ON SUNDAY . Taken from indymedia Ireland. email rossportsolidaritycamp@gmail.com
In new twist, campaign is now found 'guilty by dissassociation' Last weekend saw the mainstream media continue its barrage against the Shell to Sea Campaign by selling the line of nasty outside protesters corrupting innocent, misguided locals. With radical activists joining the local community for the long haul, the Rossport Solidarity Camp's long-term presence has reduced the impact of these smears, so an article targeting the camp is a welcome development for both Shell and its Government. This Is Camp X-Ray" was an art installation consisting of a fully operational, life-size replica of the U.S internment camp at Guantanamo Bay. It set out to challenge our apathy over the prisoners at the US Army's Guantanamo Bay site and investigated the experiences of incarceration and sensory deprivation.
It was constructed in the city of Manchester and was operational from Friday 10th October to Saturday 18th October 2003.
The camp was built for 'Don't Cross The Line' - a series of 3 new art works on the theme of 'the new imperialism'.

Rossport Solidarity Camp the story so far… www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLpDmh4BU8w Solidarity Gathering, June 2005 Rossport Solidarity Camp was established in the middle of June 2005, at the request of residents of Rossport, in north-west Mayo, Ireland, opposing the construction of a high pressure gas pipeline and inland gas refinery in their area. It was born out of a solidarity gathering held in Rossport on the first weekend in June that year. That weekend over two hundred people, from every corner of the island and beyond, gathered in Rossport to learn about the issues surrounding the Corrib gas project at first hand. The Lorry Action Those involved in organising the gathering kept in contact with people in the area and we got the call to return to Rossport on June 18th, after residents had begun a particular action. This action related to the virtual absence of a traffic management plan for Rossport, despite the fact that Shell aimed to put 60 to 70 trucks a day on a narrow country lane. Basically if you are driving up that wee road, going from your house into town to do the shopping or pick up the kids from the train station, and you meet a lorry carrying pipeline to build a unprecedented high-pressure pipeline next to your house, then you have to turn around and leave the road, that road being too narrow for both cars and the Shell lorries.
